Produced by Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Vampire Weekend, Charli XCX), The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers releases his eagerly anticipated new solo album. ‘The Desired Effect’ follows Flowers’ 2010 chart topping solo debut ‘Flamingo, and has been described by Q magazine as ‘Big, bold and joyful, it’s exactly what a great pop album should be (****)”. Principally recorded at Battle Born Studios in Las Vegas, Flowers is joined by a stellar cast of iconic musicians, including Ethan Farmer, Bruce Hornsby, Tony Levin, Kenny Arnof, The Dirty Projectors’ Angel Deradoorian, Joey Waronker, Pet Shop Boys’ Neil Tennant, Danielle Haim and Flowers’ Killers compadre Ronnie Vannuci Jr. ‘The Desired Effect’ shows Flowers reaching a new level of songwriting confidence and having a whole heap of fun in the process.
Brandon Flowers begins his UK tour with two nights at Brixton Academy on 21st and 22nd May ending at Birmingham’s 02 Academy on 28th.
